By default, the rows in a table view are sorted in descending order by the Record ID number. However, you can easily change the way a table view is sorted by clicking the field name in the column header. If you click the same column header again, you will reverse the sort order of the field.
To sort by multiple fields:
- Click the column header of the field by which you would like to sort first.
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the column header of the second field by which you would like to sort.
Although you cannot define a default sort order by customizing the view used to show a table view, you can define the default sort order used in the table view when a specific search is run. To do so:
- Use the Search drop-down to create or edit a search.
- On the Sorting tab, select the fields by which you would like to sort.
