Setting Different Password Requirements for Different Sets of Users

You may be wondering – is it possible to set different password requirements for different sets of users? If so, how?

Setting different passwords for different sets of users is possible if the different sets are stored in different subtables of the People table. The Password field, like other fields, can take on different settings at subtable levels.

To set the password requirements for staff/power users:

  1. Click the Employees subtable in the left pane.
  2. Click Setup Employees and navigate to the Fields tab.
  3. Find the Password field and select Edit.
  4. Use the Options tab of the Field wizard to customize the password requirements.

To set the password requirements for end users, follow the same steps in the External Users subtable.
